Factors Indicating a Bad Prognosis in Patients of Emphysematous Pyelonephritis with Diabetes

Aim: To evaluate our experience with emphysematous pyelonephritis in a tertiary care facility and to describe approach. Study design: Cross-sectional retrospective study Place duration of study: Dept Urology, Shaikh Zayed Hospital, Lahore from 1st January 2017 31st December 2020. Methodology: Thirty six patients who died out the 976 between 34-82 years were enrolled. Used classification systems include Wan Huang. We examined potential predictive indicators for mortality as well clinical treatment characteristics these patients. Results: There 2.27 female every male. Poor prognosis is correlated advanced grade. The biggest number unfavourable prognostic variables accounted by deranged HbA1C 27.8% grades 33.3%. However, DIC causing thrombocytopenia 13.9% hypotensive shock are significant causes pyelonephritis. low protein content 11.1% has lowest risk. most frequent signs tachycardia 14, fever 9, pyuria 8 flank pain 5 Conclusion: Advanced Huang Tseng Classification grade principal reason death study, followed shock, hypoprotenemia, DIC-induced thrombocytopenia, elevated levels.
